Tomorrow is the baby shower and I have been working nonstop to get everything prepared for it. My life has been consumed with making gifts for both the prizes and the shower gift for over a week now; I have ordered cake, assigned people to do various things, cleaned my mom’s house and now cook food. But you know what…I have loved every minute of it. All the late nights, frazzled mornings, decision making and planning…I am in Hog Heaven (fat joke not intended). You are probably wondering where I am going with this and here it is..Spiritual Gifts. A few months ago in the old Young Friends class Pastor Janz had us all take a spiritual gifts test. I had never heard of these gifts before and was curious what mine would be. I took the test and was shocked. The things I thought I would excel in were actually my weakest and the things I thought would be just so-so were my strongest.
Hospitality and Generosity and Mercy were my strongest so it is not surprising that when I get to plan a shower for my BEST FRIEND I am totally content and joyful. Knowing my gifts has really been a blessing and I want to encourage all of you to take a moment and read 1 Corinthians 12. Get a tract that has a spiritual gifts test and take the test. Find out what your spiritual gifts are and implement them in your lives. I am here to tell you it is worth it!
